My Stupid Teeth!

Okay, I just went to the dentist today. Something bad happened. They put like this thingy around my teeth and I have to wear a face mask when I go to sleep and also have to wear it for 12-14 hours. How embarassing to walk around with an ugly face mask with rubber bands! Also, with the thingy stuff around my teeth, I can't talk, spit, or drink OR (my favourite thing) EAT... or CHEW GUM! When I say, "Yes!" I say, "Yeshhh!!" I sound like a grandma!! I am so scared to go to school tomorrow! When I talk, they would be like, "Oh my gosh, you're like so freaky!!!" You guys are so lucky! And I can't sing. I sing like this: BLAHH!!, when I mean to sing Lalala!

I feel for you. I had to wear one of those when I was in high school. It only lasted for a short while though. On a good note, it kept one of my friends from hitting me in the face.

Don't worry, someday it will be a distant memory. In the meantime, learn to laugh with your friends.

I do, I am like, "Ha ha ha..." and look away. I always laugh, it's funny. I also get embarassed. People are like, "WHAT'S THAT, BRACES??", even when it doesn't even look like braces. But I am lucky, I could get surgery if I didn't take the other offer which is this thing. SURGERY STINKS!

your doing the best thing there is to do. STAY STRONG and learn to laugh with your friends! I hope all goes well and after a while..the kids will get used to it. remember- You are always you no matter what

glad i could help! kids teased me when i got my braces but like 2 weeks later..a popular girl had to get them and then another boy did....they never made fun of me or anyone else with braces agian....true story

but now i have my braces off

that also happined to my dad.three girls were making fun of him.(dont know why)and he did not have to fight back! the rest of the school felt bad for him,so they fought for him!!!!just you wait. i'm sure things will work out.

i have to have my braces for 1 year then when i turn about 14-16 years old i have to get them again for a few months then after that i have to get surgery and my jaw set back.a few of my friends and my brother call me braceface but slowly i got used to it.i bet you look great and if people make fun of you then that proves they aren't your real friends.good luck!
