True, true. It's recommended to not become a vegetarian or vegan if you're still developing because you need a portion from each of the food pyramid. I don't understand what's wrong with it.....we are part of the food chain too. That's how a majority of people (and animals) get their energy by consuming other organisms. If we just be careful with how many animals we actually consume per year so it doesn't harm the population then it's perfectly fine in my opinion. Animals actually eat animals in the wild, why can't we? We have to get energy too. Consuming is a source of energy. I don't like animal abuse---like abusing dogs and cats and stuff like that. I'm fine with hunting (Remember the second amendment? People DO get their food this way sometimes...), zoos, aquariums, candy (Yes, it's TESTED on animals. Would you give up sweet, luscious, delicious, mouth-watering chocolate? I don't like chocolate, but a lot of other candy is tested on animals [especially rodents].), make-up (Some types of make-up is tested on animals...), shampoo and toothpaste, and medical research. Of course these things aren't necessary, but do you think about the animal that was killed when you apply shampoo to your hair? If you do then that's nice that you care about other animals....I have another question---would you not take a shower for an entire year to save animals? Hey, I am not fine with puppy mills and other types animal abuse. I always adopt an animal from a local animal shelter rather than a store...But I'm definitely not supporting P.E.T.A. Their tactics are outrageous.
